EXPLORERS
SO, WHAT DO EXPLORERS DO?
Well, at Explorers we............have fun; play games; listen to stories; learn about Jesus and His love for us; help others; make things; bake; see our friends & make new friends; go on outings; learn about the world around us; draw & paint; dance & sing; do drama and mime; learn our right from our left and sometimes we march and feel very grown up!

EXPLORER BADGES |
|
In
Explorers there are three badges we can earn. If we're in Primary 1,
a Bronze Star, in Primary 2 a Silver Star and in Primary 3 a Gold Star.
We also get a Company Title to tell people which Company we're in and
a red service badge, or an extra special blue one (if we go to Sunday
School too) that tells people how many years we've been in Girls' Brigade. |
|

We have a lot of fun earning our badges. Our leaders pick a theme for us each year, it may be Journeys, or Animals, or Shapes, or,.... oh there's lots more to pick from, and round our theme we do the four parts of our badgework. (Our Leaders call it badgework, but it doesn't seem like work to us, it's all fun!) spiritual - that's learning about God and Jesus and all the people and stories from the bible, we might act them out, or learn a song about them, or make a frieze. physical - this is when we put on our soft shoes and run about! It may be a dance or an action song, sports or games,.... we always play lots of games! educational - this is about learning something new, maybe we'll get to make something, or listen to stories and see things our leaders have brought in to show us, or go on an outing somewhere. service - service is about helping other people so we learn to think of others and to do helpful things at home for our family, or the people in our Church, or a charity ....... even when you're small you can make a difference. |
