As with recent years, the 2019 Conference will include the Annual General Meeting of The Girls’ Brigade in Scotland. The Conference will offer delegates the opportunity to attend 3 workshops which are designed to equip Leaders with information and skills that will be of benefit while working at local company level. The day will begin with opening praise, will close with a service of worship and will also provide an opportunity to chat, raise concerns or share ideas with the National President and Chief Executive at set times throughout the day.
This year’s event is being held at the Stirling Court Hotel, Stirling on Saturday 14th September 2019. The day will begin at 10.00 am with registrations being taken from 9.30 am and will end at 4.45 pm. The subsidised cost to attend this day for delegates aged 25 or less is £15.00 per person. This cost includes the hire of the venue, tea/coffee, breakfast rolls, buffet lunch, attendance at 3 workshops and complimentary parking.
You can reserve places at this event for multiple delegates using one single payment transaction. Simply select the number of tickets you wish to purchase from each age category (25 or less / 26+) and add them to your shopping basket. During the checkout process you will then be asked to provide details for each attendee you are registering including their workshop choices and any special dietary or accessibility requirements they may have. Every effort will then be made to ensure that these needs are met on the day.
There will be five different workshops running over three sessions during the conference meaning that each delegate will be able to attend three out of the five available options. Where possible delegates will be allocated to workshops according to preference and to facilitate this you are asked to provide each delegate’s preferred workshop options in order from 1st to 5th choice during the checkout process. Please note that depending on the popularity of each workshop it may not be possible to allocate everyone to their first three preferred options. If you would like to attend the conference but do not wish to attend any workshops please select this option against each of the workshop choices during checkout.
Workshop 1 – Anti-Bullying Community (ABC)
Workshop 2 – Mental Health & Well-Being
Workshop 3 – STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths)
Workshop 4 – The Trussell Trust
Workshop 5 – Making Music
Registrations for this event will remain open until Friday 30th August 2019.
